Frequently Asked Questions
Can you tell me about your safety guidelines?
Safety is our number one priority. We regard the safety of each tour participant as our number one priority. We have adopted guidelines and established safety protocols to ensure our groups have a safe and enjoyable experience. Each of our tour guides is required to pass a background check and is required to carry a cell phone and provide that number to each tour participant. We liaise with hotel security to make sure our groups are safe and secure. The bus companies we charter have proper licensing and have met Department of Transportation standards.
Where will we stay in New York City?
Bright Lights Big City groups stay at brand name hotels in the heart of the city. Our hotel partners afford us competitive rates to make this a viable reality. We believe staying in New York City is part of an immersive and consummate NYC experience.
Are meals included?
Depending on your customized itinerary, most meals are included and hosted at some of New York’s most iconic restaurants.
How will we get around town?
We use air-conditioned motor coaches and private charters depending on ease and comfort. We also provide subway passes as required by your chosen itinerary.
Does the coordinating teacher travel FREE?
Amen! We’re most grateful for your hard work in making the tour a reality. As a token of our appreciation, you’ll travel FREE in addition to receiving a cash stipend upon arrival. You’ve earned it!
How do I pick my travel dates?
Easy, just pick the dates that work best for you. You can travel any day of the week, any time of the year.
What if I have never organized a trip with students?
No problem! We work with both seasoned travelers and first time group leaders. We’ll guide you every step of the way.
What if I am a small group?
We suggest you work with another teacher, class or club in your school (or nearby school) to get more students involved. Our group minimum is 20 but larger groups benefit from less discounted pricing.
